Connecting Qlik Sense to your Kaivo-managed BigQuery data warehouse enables you to load, transform, and analyze your data directly within Qlik Sense apps and dashboards. You can authenticate your connection using either a Google Account or a Service Account.

  3. Click the Sign In button.

Step 3: Complete Google Authorization

  1. A new browser window will open prompting you to sign in with Google.

  2. Log into the Google Account associated with your Kaivo account and click Allow to grant Qlik permissions.

  1. Select your Kaivo project from the Catalog / Project dropdown menu.

  2. Select your desired dataset and tables.

  3. Name your connection and click Create (or Insert script / Add data) to finalize.

Option B: Connect Using a Service Account

Use this option if you want to use dedicated credentials for automated app reloads or shared team spaces.

Step 1: Obtain Your Kaivo Service Account Credentials

  1. Log into your Kaivo application in a separate browser tab.

  2. Navigate to the Service Account settings page.

  3. Create/generate a service account and download the JSON keyfile (or copy its contents) to your computer. Guide on how to create a service account is here: Setup Service Account.

Step 2: Open the Connector and Select Service Authentication

  1. In Qlik Sense, go to Add data or the Data load editor.

  2. Choose Google BigQuery.

  3. In the OAuth Mechanism dropdown, select Service Authentication.

Step 3: Configure Service Account Details

  1. Enter your service account email address in the Email field.

  2. Upload or browse for your downloaded Key File (JSON format).
